Mystic Seaport Museum was in need of elevating their visitor experience and differentiating themselves from other local Connecticut attractions and focusing on a more sustainable-led exhibition model. With a rich history of maritime and historical artifacts as well as a working seaport the museum had a compelling story waiting to be told. I was responsible for the brand narrative and positioning for this project.

Through a comprehensive brand and experience audit the brand positioning was developed to establish Mystic Seaport Museum as a contemporary maritime museum committed to creating a relationship between each visitor and the sea. Through historical artifacts and stories from American sea captains and voyages, Mystic Seaport museum is committed to showing the importance of respecting and preserving the oceans that surround us now and into the future.
